Anders Environmental provided construction management for the initial phase of the Downing Reservoir remediation which consisted of the removal of over 300,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil that had accumulated during waste water treatment operations when the property was used to manufacture ammunition during World War II and also from a historical landfill area near the western edge of the reservoir.
Downing Reservoir – Phase 2
Following the successful removal of the contaminated soil and sediments. Downing Reservoir was expanded from 4.5 acre feet of storage to its current size of 9 acre feet. This translates into approximately 12 million gallons of water that will be used for a wide variety of activities on the Denver Federal Center.
Patara Oil and Gas
Anders Environmental provided well pad and access road reclamation for Patara oil and gas in Western Colorado. The sites were located in a remote part of western Colorado making logistics challenging. Anders Environmental worked with the Colorado Oil and Gas Commission and local ranchers to successfully reclaim 5 sites.
Boulder County Flood Restoration – Road Reconstruction
Immediately following the Boulder County floods of 2013 Anders Environmental was contracted to provide emergency road construction services. The floods had wiped out access roads to multiple remote mountain communities. Anders Environmental crews restored access for emergency personnel and residents by quickly mobilizing multiple earthwork crews to reconstruct over 20 miles of mountain roads that were destroyed during the floods.
Boulder County Flood Restoration – Emergency Response
Anders Environmental provided construction management services for Boulder County immediately following the historic flooding of 2013. Anders Environmental employed 10-15 construction managers to direct FEMA and NRCS crews during hazardous debris removal, watershed stabilization, creek realignment and restoration, and riparian habitat construction.
Boulder County Fire Watershed Restoration
Anders Environmental was the primary watershed restoration contractor following the Fourmile Fire in Boulder County. Anders Environmental was contracted to implement the watershed stabilization measures designed by Wright Water Engineers. Corrective measures included; check dam installation, aerial straw mulch application, sedimentation pond construction, and erosion log installation.
Riverpoint Redevelopment
As an employee of Walsh Environmental, the owner of Anders Environmental served as the Environmental Coordinator for the $700 million Brownfield Redevelopment of a historical landfill into a new shopping center. The wide variety of contaminants encountered during this project gave the owner of Anders Environmental
Hurricane Katrina Disaster Response
As an employee of Walsh Environmental, the owner of Anders Environmental served as a crew lead reporting directly to the EPA On Scene Coordinator. Having experience working on one of America’s largest natural disasters provided the owner of Anders Environmental with the ability to respond in a calm and efficient manner regardless of the magnitude of the project.
