Emergency Response Temporary Position:

Crew Managers:

Crew Managers are responsible for maximizing crew efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment. Crew Managers will be tasked with management of a wide variety of crews; debris removal, environmental remediation, woody debris clearance, grading crews, disposal facility management, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact between the crew lead and the oversight technicians to resolve any potential problems prior to the problem impacting the productivity of the crew.
  • Provide guidance for the crews for removal efforts and final site clearances
  • Interface with the client, oversight crews, and homeowners in a calm, professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of construction experience.
  • Current 40 Hour OSHA Hazwopper certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to leave at a moment’s notice and travel to a disaster zone within 36-48 hours of notification.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to function in remote areas with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to work 10-12 hour days, 6-7 days a week for extended time periods.
  • Environmental remediation experience not required, but candidates with previous environmental experience will be given preference.

Health and Safety Field Tech – Environmental/Civil Construction – Full-time position
Location – Emergency Response – United States

Job Description:

The Health & Safety Field Technician is responsible for gathering and analyzing data regarding safety and quality conditions in the workplace. They work with construction and remediation teams, conducting observations and evaluating hazards to help workers avoid injury in the workplace; as well as avoid damage to property, the environment, and the public at large. The Health and Safety Technician spends their time conducting tailgate safety meetings, ensuring workers are wearing the proper PPE, calibrating air sampling equipment for asbestos monitoring, and conducting site OSHA audits in the field.

They can expect to work in a variety of environments associated with environmental remediation. Ability to travel is required, as they may be assigned to inspect locations located over a wide geographical area.

The Health and Safety Field Technician must pay strong attention to detail and be able to multitask effectively. They must be able to quickly and efficiently discover and document potential hazards, as well as recommend a plan of action that effectively mitigates these hazards. They also develop ways to predict and prevent hazards using a wide range of historical data and other sources. This requires the ability to work independently and also to think creatively.

The Health and Safety Field Technician must be thorough and meticulous in the performance of their duties. They must be able to work in environments where hazards are present and be able to differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable hazards, depending on the location being inspected. Preparation for a career in this field is possible through either a bachelor’s degree program or through on-the-job training.
Experience in environmental remediation and civil construction is preferred. Safety knowledge is preferable.Strong Microsoft office (word, excel, etc) is required.

Environmental Technician / Groundwater Sampling Technician – Full-time position

Anders Environmental, a Colorado based environmental services company is looking for an entry level sampling technician to join our growing team.

Job Description:

Environmental Sampling Technicians work independently collecting groundwater samples on one or more job sites. The technicians operate various types of generators, air compressors, pumps and pressure washers to remove groundwater from monitoring wells. A technician will test for water parameters using field meters, take precise notes and collect water samples that will be taken to a laboratory for analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have outdoor work experience and be willing and able to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather conditions
  • 1-3 years of Environmental Experience
  • Must be mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment
  • Must be able to work independently on a job site
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
  • Good ability to read maps
  • Must be able to work full-time
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
  • 40 Hr. OSHA Hazwoper Training is a plus, but we will provide the right candidate with that training
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • College degree with science or environmental majors preferred
